Bhandardara Backwaters

The term Backwater is commonly used to refer to a large body of water (such as that of a river) that is held back by some obstruction, or stopped in its flow by an opposing stream.

In the case of Bhandardara, many people refer to the water that is held back by the Wilson dam as the backwaters of Bhandardara.

This Bhandardara backwater forms the beautiful Arthur lake whose calm and placid waters are an excellent activities such as boating and fishing.
